Robert Bax
Solicitor / Principal
Robert Bax established the firm in 1982 and is proud to be a true general practitioner, practicing in all areas and supervising all legal services.
Consistent throughout his work is a commitment to direct advice and client value. Whatever the issue, Robert offers straight advice about problems, costs, time and likely outcomes – and is quick to suggest alternative approaches even if this means turning work away or lower legal fees. He uses his extensive networks to support clients and is a true trusted advisor.
As an experienced and skilled negotiator and advisor, Robert has a significant advantage in all matters having practiced as a general practitioner for more than 40 years.
Robert has a keen interest in rural matters and away from work loves fishing, amongst many other sports.

David Neuendorf
Solicitor
David Neuendorf has been with the firm since 2009 and practices in personal injury and litigation, with a particular focus on motor vehicle and work cover claims. A significant aspect of David’s practice also deals with private paying criminal law and weapons licencing matters, both applying and strengthening his skills as an advocate.
Brought up on a farm, he enjoys the practical hands-on side of his work: getting his hands dirty with court advocacy or representing clients in conference rather than desk-based office work. He is respected as a persuasive advocate and takes a no-nonsense approach to his matters
David’s broad understanding of different areas of law informs his strategic approach to his litigation work. He prides himself on asking the right questions, identifying risks and anticipating challenges through the disputes process.
Away from work, David has a keen interest in rugby league having played for both Norths Devils and Valleys Diehards, who we are a proud sponsor of. He also claims to be able to reverse park a heavy goods vehicle better than any solicitor in Brisbane.

Evette Jones

Hailing from Tasmania, Evette was admitted in 2004 and before joining Robert Bax & Associates worked at a leading Brisbane CBD practice for 12 years.
Evette is an Accredited Specialist in Family Law, a title given to lawyers who have demonstrated expertise in the field. She practices exclusively in family law, an area she is truly passionate about. She enjoys working on complex property matters and collaborative law matters, with a particular focus on cost effective advice, irrespective of a client’s financial capacity.
She has always been a team player and prides herself on her ability to assist clients to achieve the best possible outcome during what is often a difficult period in their lives.
Evette is an avid foodie and, whilst no one would describe her as a great cook, she enjoys hosting her friends and family members at home.

Alexandria Douglas

Alexandria Douglas has been with the firm since 2010. She focusses on property and commercial matters including business and leasing transactions.
She has a wide range of experience in retail and commercial leasing matters with a particular focus on representing landlords. Over the course of her career, she has developed an unrivalled reputation amongst the property agents in the local area for her valuable insights and her ability to get matters across the line.
She also has a particular interest in commercial real estate acting for both sellers and buyers of commercial property.
In business transactions she has acted for a variety of large corporate to small sized businesses which has resulted in her having a very thorough, practical and commercial approach to all transactions no matter the size.
Away from work, Alexandria enjoys scuba diving, travel and spending time with her family.

Nicholas Daunt
Solicitor
Nick joined Robert Bax & Associates as a work experience clerk in 2011 and commenced as a trainee solicitor in 2016. He was admitted in 2017 following studies at University of Queensland.
Working on a range of commercial and estates matters, Nick has already gained extensive court experience including appearances at QCAT, the Magistrates Court, District Court, Supreme Court and Court of Appeal. He enjoys working on multi-party, high value estate matters and away from work enjoys many sports including touch football, golf, cricket and horse racing.

Paul James was admitted as a Solicitor in 1970. Paul has over 45 years’ experience as a Solicitor, specialising in Estates, Wills and Powers of Attorney.
Given his substantial experience in estate planning, he is a true trusted advisor to all clients.
He enjoys fishing, racing, rugby league and rugby union, and was a previous member of both the Queensland Harness Racing Appeals Committee and of the Queensland Racing Disciplinary Appeals Board.

Phillipa Kingswell

Phillipa was admitted as a solicitor in 2001 and has worked at Robert Bax and Associates since 2020 practising solely in Family Law. She is an accredited Family Law Specialist and prior to joining the firm she worked with boutique family law firms throughout the Brisbane area.
She is experienced in assisting clients in high conflict matters whether they are in litigation or managing their situation outside the court system.
Her focus is on finding the right approach for each client’s individual circumstances, whether it is referral to dispute resolution, parenting coordination or other appropriate resources within the Family Law system which will assist them reach timely resolution of their matter. In matters which cannot be resolved except with the Court’s intervention, Phillipa has knowledge and expertise to guide her clients through the Court process and achieve the best possible outcome for them.
In her former life she was employed as a teacher and worked with children with developmental delays. Phillipa has three adult children and enjoys spending time with her cows.

Adam Stewart
Solicitor
Adam completed his schooling on an academic scholarship from St. Joseph’s Nudgee College, during which he was provided with an opportunity to join our Firm in 2016 as a work experience student. His passion for law began thereafter, having witnessed the complex and challenging nature of legal cases.
Adam commenced a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) at Queensland University of Technology, whilst working at the Port of Brisbane. He joined our Firm as a Law Clerk in 2019, where he was able to hone his legal skills and knowledge of the industry. Upon graduation, he was offered a full-time position as a solicitor.
As a solicitor at our firm, Adam has quickly gained the trust and respect of his colleagues and clients alike. He has handled a diverse range of cases with professionalism, dedication, and attention to detail. His areas of interest include employment law, building and construction law, personal injury law, and criminal law, and he has helped numerous clients navigate the complexities of the legal system.
Off work, Adam is a keen sportsman. He also enjoys spending time with family and friends and getting outdoors. His positive attitude, strong work ethic and commitment to excellence make him a highly valued member of our team.

Abby Kennedy
Conveyancing Clerk
Abby is an accomplished conveyancer who joined the Firm in 2018 as a Rounds Clerk, providing administrative support to the team's conveyancers. Her outstanding work ethic and attention to detail quickly caught the attention of her colleagues and, also, our Principal.
Since 2018, Abby's hard work led to her promotion to the role of Conveyancing Clerk in 2021. In this position, Abby continued to excel, consistently learning, and delivering exceptional work, exceeding expectations.
Abby has a genuine passion for client satisfaction. She takes pride in delivering a smooth and stress-free conveyancing service tailored to each client's individual needs. Her communication skills ensure clients always feel informed, confident and reassured throughout the conveyancing process.
